The 2009 NBA Draft In Review

1-Blake Griffin, Future Rookie of The Year, No suprises
2- Hasheem Thabeet, the Grizz opt to go big with the 7-3 Tanzinian
3- James Harden, Thunder grab a backcourt mate for Westbrook early on
4- Tyreke Evans, Kings Pick up a point, suprised they did'nt take Rubio
5- Ricky Rubio, Minnisota's prayers are answered, Rubio slips to the end of the Top 5
6- Johnny Flynn, Another Point for Minni, will go small in the backcourt with two good PGs
7- Stephen Curry,GSW picks up a wing player who wanted NY. Great Shooting PG next to Ellis
8- Jordan Hill, NY almost gets Curry, settles for PF Hill. If they keep Hill, Lee won't be back
9- DeMar DeRozan, Good SG/SF for a dying Raptors team
10- Brandon Jennings, Went to Europe instead of College, not sure what to expect from him

Other Picks of Note:
37-DeJuan Blair, Projected top 20 pick, SA really stole him with a late pick, better the front line
48- Taylor Griffin, Brother of Blake, look for LAC to try to sign him to get them together.

  1. did you hear the rumors that Rubio may stay in Europe instead of playing for Minnesota?

  2. I think Rubio has a major diva complex going on...so I say LET EUROPE KEEP HIM.

But more importantly: Blake Griffin was the only true "get" from yesterday's draft...and WE GOT HIM!

    GO CLIPPERS!!!!

  3. All the "experts" think that Griffin wont be the rookie of the year. He is in the west, which is loaded with excellent post players he has to deal with so it will be tough for him.

Rubio was all excited about getting drafted until he realized that he had to compete with flynn for a spot, now he isn't sure he wants to play here anymore. Wuss.

Jennings had better numbers than Rubio, and when they played head to head, he dominated Rubio. So maybe we'll see good things from him. But then again we can't really think anything since we never got to watch him play.

Hopefully the suns can trade for curry like it is being said right now, and you can't have tanner, he is ours

  4. Golden State isn't dealing Curry

  5. Ricky Rubio has a $6.6 million buy out clause in his contract with his team in Spain. So unless he or the Wolves decide to pony up something, we probably won't see him until at least next year.

  6. well the contract has a clause that the NBA can only pay 500,000 and if he doesn't pay it by June 30 it goes up to $8million
